Lakewood

The front yard is a steep hillside turned nature playground. A path made of wide, flat pancake boulders winds up the slope, making it easy to explore. It's planted thick with a mix of native and adapted species—textural, colorful, and wild in the best way. Everything feels alive and layered, like it’s always been there.

Out back, a cedar deck steps out from the house into a shady, enclosed yard. A huge mature oak tree grows right through the deck, stealing the show and setting the tone. Perforated steel panels act as both fence and trellis, with a custom gate that leads out to the greenbelt. The planting here leans into the shade—lush, textural layers, big leaves, climbing vines. It’s quiet and cool, tucked under the trees—an easygoing backyard retreat.
